Geppetto's home and workshop is created from the ground up to showcase the beauty in the life of makers. An old grandfather clock looms over the room to portray the fatherly and aging character, while Pinocchio's overalls hang next to his work apron. Look around the room to find handmade toys and hints that unveil Geppetto's longing for a son. The final shots were taken with gels to create a warm, fire-lit workshop filled with wonderful treasures.
Fabrication
With the help from a laser cutter, all of the tools, furniture, and toys were cut and painted. The walls were constructed with foam core and sand paper for texture, using balsa wood for details. The staircase and window are inlaid into the wall. A watch face and pop rivet were added to create the bench vice and clock face. Watch the miniature come to life with every added detail and coat of paint.
